Our community Secret Santa is in full swing, and thanks to your generosity, we’ve already gathered so many wonderful gifts! ❤️ However, after matching donations with the families we’re supporting, we’ve discovered a shortfall: we don’t have enough gifts for teenage boys PLUS Mince pies, selection boxes, chocolates and biscuits. If you’re able to help, we’d be so grateful for donations of christmas food items and suitable gifts, new and unwrapped (think sports gear, books, headphones, gift cards, etc.). We’re excited to offer two FREE First Aid Awareness Classes with Mini First Aid, funded by Wargrave Big Local. 1️⃣ First Aid Awareness for Adults
🗓️ Saturday 25th October, 10am–12pm Learn essential skills like CPR, using a defibrillator, and how to respond to heart attacks, strokes, choking, severe allergic reactions, and more. Perfect for anyone who wants to feel confident in an emergency! Includes a comprehensive 40-page First Aid Manual. This class is relaxed, hands-on, and suitable for complete beginners. 🌟 Just £1 Can Make a Big Difference! 🌟
We’re launching a simple but powerful campaign: “Please give £1 to keep us around.” On the 1st of each month, we’re asking our amazing community to donate just £1. Why? Because if 500 people chip in, that’s £500 a month — enough to keep the lights on, run activities, and support those who need us most 💛 Whether it’s popping a pound in the collection box at the centre or donating online via our GoFundMe (QR code on the poster but please note donating this way there is a minimum donation of £5 due to their terms!), every single £1 helps us stay open, active, and accessible. |
A HUGE thank you to the team from Certas Energy My Home who volunteered their time to help make our Community Garden even lovelier. We are very grateful for their time and hard work!

Every Thursday morning from 10.30am - 12.30pm Here at Newton Community Centre Our Men's Group is open to men of all ages and backgrounds and provides a safe and welcoming space to meet, chat over a brew and take part in a variety of activities each week! From a simply brew and a chat, guest speakers, short local walks, volunteering in the Community, Sports activities for ALL abilities , board games and creative sessions too! We are SO excited that our newly flagged and wheelchair accessible Community Garden is ready for everyone to enjoy for FREE! BUT! We would really benefit from some helping hands to keep it looking lovely! Could you spare an hour or so a week to help us tend to, maintain and keep it a space that everyone can enjoy? Even just 1-2 hours a week tending to plants, weeding and watering the flowers would be incredibly helpful! All tools and equipment provided, we just need some kind hearted people to help!
