During #TrusteesWeek2023 we are proud to say Thank You to our volunteer Trustees.
Throughout the week we will show you lots of different aspects of being a trustee and for anybody interested in becoming a trustee at our lovely Centre, please email Lisa on [email protected]. |
|
On Day 3 of #TrusteesWeek2023
Being a Trustee at Newton Community Centre isn't just about attending management meetings. You could also try your hand at running the bar or modelling at Fashion, Fun and Fizz nights, maybe giving presentations to our Women's Groups, Growing fruit and vegetables for our Food Bank, helping Santa on his float....... These aren't mandatory of course but isn't it lovely that our trustees get involved in lots of different ways! P.s if you are also a dab hand at baking bread, you'd be extra welcome! Thanks Ian! 😂 |

✨ A message form our lovely Sound Bath tutor, ChiRi Harmony...
"Autumn is coming! 🍂🎃 A new season brings a new cycle of energy. For some, it's the start of a wind down that generates a need for more inner solitude or a desire to declutter and organise before winter. For others, it's a relief from the whirlwind of summer into focus and clarity. It's also back to school, a shift of home life, work balance, and change of weather. All these impact our thoughts and feelings, so, I welcome you into this season with the latter part of my pregnancy journey playing out my last few Tonal Sound Baths 🤰🏻☺️ If you're interested, message me for more information and to book on 🔔✨️" Ria's next Sound Bath class is tomorrow evening, 27th September 7.00pm - 8.00pm! Get in touch with her directly to book: [email protected] |

💜 Corporate/Social Responsibility
As a self-funded Charity we would love the opportunity to discuss how we can link into business– for example a team from Sky (engineers) spent a day with us painting in our Community Garden! 💜 Sponsoring events There are many ways to sponsor events such as taking a stand or table, advertising in a programme, offering samples, tasters or other resources (for example donating raffle prizes or gifts for goodie bags). You could sponsor a whole event or just part of it! 💜 Sponsor a room at the Centre (£350 for a year). Could Newton Community Centre be your “chosen Charity?” – so when your team run a fund-raiser, we would be the Charity to benefit? 💜 Do you have skills you could share with us? Graphic design, joiners, cake-makers etc. e.g a local plumber does small jobs for us at cost or even for free! 💜 Could you donate a prize for a raffle? Raffles form a large part of our fundraising and the better the prizes the more money we can raise, and the more money we raise, the more we can help our Community! 💜 Help with mock interviews OR offer a Job Taster Session. 💜 Donate to our Foodbank and encourage your customers and staff to do the same. You can drop off donations at NCC weekdays (9am to 5pm Monday to Wednesday. 9am - 3pm Thursday and Fridays). 💜 Donate unsold stock – rather than sitting on old stock or throwing it out. For example a local beauty salon gave us unwanted nail varnish to use at our other groups. 💜 Invite buyers to make a donation when making a purchase – at its simplest this may be a charity box at the checkout/reception into which customers can put their spare change (or more). |

Any contribution, no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated. You can donate to Newton Community Centre in a number of ways either in the form of a one-off donation or a regular giving scheme. JustGiving won't be charging a platform fee to the charity. Adding a small contribution on top of your donation means we can continue to help more people.
Your voluntary contribution will be used to maintain the technology that keeps our site running 24/7, provide top notch customer service and give everyone the best possible experience with JustGiving.
Gift Aid
The Gift Aid scheme means you can help us receive more money at no additional cost to you. If you are a UK taxpayer and have paid at least as much tax this year as the amount of your donation, then for every £1 you give to us, we can claim 25p plus an additional 3p in Gift Aid for Newton Community Centre.
